Department of Energy Strategic Plan
The mission of the Department of Energy is to discover the solutions to power and secure the future of the United States.  This Strategic Plan charts a course to follow, focusing particularly on Energy Security, National Security, and Science-Driven Technology Revolutions.

American Indian Executive Orders

Indian Energy Resource Projects
Title XXVI of the Energy Policy Act of 1992 authorized funding for both renewable energy projects, and for Energy Vertical Integration projects.  On this webpage, one can find links to project summaries and contact information for a number energy projects undertaken on Indian lands.

President Bush's Management Agenda
The President’s Management Agenda is the framework used to organize the Department of Energy's efforts and to maximize its efficiency.  Spurred by the President’s leadership, our 116,000 employees and contractors have transformed the Department of Energy from an organization generally considered to be one of the government’s most poorly managed agencies into one of the best.

Advanced Energy Initiative
The Advanced Energy Initiative, championed by the White House, is an innovative plan that addresses the most critical aspects of our national energy policy.  It offers comprehensive solutions to reduce our dependence on foreign oil through a combination of tax incentives, research into wind and solar power, development of hydrogen fueled vehicles, and a committment to safe nuclear energy. 

American Competitiveness Initiative
The American Competitiveness Initiative ensures that American scientists will have the necessary resources and facilities to usher in technological innovation and produce technological advances. The President believes that innovation is the key to achieving energy independence and preserving our status as the world's leading economic power. 

Code of Federal Regulations
The Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) is the codification of the general and permanent rules published in the Federal Register by the executive departments and the agencies of the Federal Government.  The CFR is updated annually by the Department of Energy. 

Department of Energy Directives
Department of Energy Directives are official communications of policies, requirements and procedures. The Directives System for DOE includes the process for proposing, agreeing upon, publishing, and cataloging directives.

Current Fiscal Year Budget
This link contains a summary of the Department of Energy's 2006 discretionary budget.  On the webpage, there is a table that shows DOE's budget outlay on an office by office basis.  In addition, the link highlights important DOE initiatives, explains their policy objectives, and details their funding levels.
